What Is Intercessory Prayer?
In short intercessory prayer is the act of praying on behalf of others. However, there is a difference in praying and intercessory praying. Both are necessary to practice but the sad fact is true intercessory prayer is very rarely done on a day to day basis. It is sometimes easy to spend 20-30 minutes in prayer for things we need but when you reach the point where were praying for others, and truly touching the throne of God for them, that’s when you have reach the intercessory prayer realm.
The message below is truly a wonderful message from one of our many great women of God, Sis. Vesta Mangun, speaking directly about intercessory prayer. This message was directed toward women but applies to men as well so please take the time to watch/listen & God Bless Sis. Vesta Mangun!

I am forever changed through this mighty message of God delivered to woman who are hungry who are desperate for a move of God in their lives, for children, for our church. Wow mighty mighty women of God. God bless Sister Vesta Mangun, Sister Haney and each woman who takes the time to listen to this message with an open heart. May our hearts be forever changed and pray pray pray!!!!!

I have not been involved with a local congregation or church for well over 25 years. There is not much about ‘church folk’ that inspires me any more. It seems “….they have turned everyone to their own way…” And frankly, most of them I am embarrassed to even know.
But recently,,, I had the privilege of hearing Sister Vesta Mangun speaking.. And it happened to be THIS particular message on intercessory prayer .. and I was completely floored and blown away. It was like the lights went out and the rockets went up!
I cannot remember a time in many YEARS that any speaker, let alone one in a church setting, caused me to STOP in my tracks and listen.. learn .. and absorb. There’s a power and intensity here that clearly does not come from her, but THROUGH her.
And if it is so, that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, then this is truly a woman who doesn’t just do.. but IS… the real deal. Her Living Sacrifice, her testimony… have impressed me beyond understanding. And for whatever reason, I’m glad our paths crossed one day. And hearing her present this Truth, THEE truth, in such an articulate, passionate, intelligent and loving way truly fulfils my quota for ‘pleasant surprises’ for the remainder of the year – and it’s only May! (It has definitely gotten me to thinking…)
God bless you, Sister Mangun – you have earned a place of honor among the saints.
