Steven Curtis Chapmen’s Loss of His Adopted Child

Youth Class
It was a short youth class Sunday considering the fact that we dismissed at 11am to help service our children class breakfast and then enjoyed some for ourselves. Thank you Bro. Joe and Sis. Teresa!

However we were able to go over a couple announcements and a few things I had on my heart. I normally don’t get involved in the public eye, actors or song writers but when I came across an article that described Steven Curtis Chapman and family loosing a sweet daughter, I had to respond and couldn’t help but read it.

Steven and family members walk us through the ‘normal’ day before the accident describing it as an exciting time everything on the up and ups. Children playing in the playground and Maria wanting to swing on the monkey bars. The other daughter not being able to lift Maria completely up Maria got desperate and ran towards will which was coming down the drive way from a audition from school. Maria just knew that her brother would be more than willing to play with her a bit on the playground so running to him was not an option. Needless to say, Will accidentally hit Maria and instantly jumped out of the car in fanatics.

After his father, Steven, coming and trying to revive their little daughter Will ran being I’m sure scared and honestly not sure what to do. Calling 911 and meeting the ambulance at the hospital their daughter was announced dead.

In memory of Maria, Steven and family have put together a blog to remember Maria and for people to bring their condolences to the family. You can also find several YouTube Videos that talk about the loss for maria.

Ever since I taught the lesson live like you were dying things have been coming up left and right to keep me in mind of the very importance of of each day that we live. We must make each day that we live could be our last day and if not ours it could be someones else. Lets make each day worth all that we can!

Announcements:

• Youth Rally in Phoenix Thursday & Friday at 7:30 and Saturday at 6pm - lets try to car pool if we can.
• Drama team prepare for another drama soon - request of Sis. Akers and others!
• Get prepared for Youth Prayer meetings on planned Mondays
